Dennis Chitwood LLP, LPC

Dennis is a limited licensed psychologist, a licensed professional counselor and a certified sexual offender treatment specialist. He also received advanced certification from the Allender School of Psychology in Trauma Focused Narrative Therapy. Dennis has been providing counseling and psychological services since 1989. He has expertise in anger management, abuse intervention, neglect, domestic violence, at-risk youth, and substance abuse. He also provides a wide array of comprehensive psychological assessments. He and his wife have enjoyed raising four children, who—being native to Michigan—love and thrive in the outdoors through camping, skiing, and hiking in some pretty audacious conditions.

Steve Wheeler LMSW, LPC

Steve is a licensed professional counselor, and a licensed master social worker. He has been providing therapy to children, adolescents, couples, and families since 1984. Steve is trained in EMDR, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy level 2, and Gottman Marital method level 2. His expertise includes trauma recovery, adoption, foster care and attachment issues, adolescent transitions, at-risk youth, parenting, and marital relationships.

Patrick Aron LPC

Patrick is a licensed professional counselor with a focus in school counseling and delinquency. Much of his experience comes from working in high school and middle school settings to assist students that struggle with managing behaviors from having a history of trauma. By using a combination of Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Psychology (TF-CBT) and Positive Psychology, Patrick has had success in treating depression and anxiety in a wide variety of clients. Patrick is passionate about assisting young adults in learning appropriate social skills and building or re-building family relationships.

Joe Gardner LPC

Joe is a Navy veteran and a licensed professional counselor whose practice began in 1986. He is experienced in working with children, adolescents, and adults dealing with trauma. Joe can help people struggling with things like sexual abuse recovery, foster care/adoption, relationships, communication, problem solving, religion, military issues, and at-risk youth. He uses a variety of interactive modalities including talk therapy, sand tray therapy, narrative therapies and experiential activities. Joe was an adjunct faculty for 10 years during which he taught in a Master’s of Counseling program and provided supervision for LLPCs.

Tammy Cornelius LPC

Tammy Cornelius is a licensed professional counselor, certified sex offender treatment specialist, and she is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT). She has been trained as a TF-CBT Parent Resource Trainer and in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. She has extensive experience with individual, group, and family therapy, abuse/neglect, and trauma and attachment issues. Tammy has worked extensively with Developmental and Intellectual disabilities, including autism testing and evaluation. Tammy’s skill is meeting people where they are. She works alongside her clients to help them overcome obstacles, while allowing them to grow at their own pace in a safe space.
